Heathrow Novice Competition May 4th and 5th

The Novice Competition 2019 was the start of a new competition season and the beginning of a new era with London Gymnastics. The Competition started on May 4th, where our youngest Novice Gymnast, Lottie Bird competed in the 9 years competition. She did outstandingly well, scoring a massive 46.250 and placing 5th. She also received two Bronze awards and two Silver awards for her fantastic execution.

May 5th and time for the remaining age groups to compete. Summer Prater performed exceptionally well across the pieces in a very tough competition. Placing 11th in a large group of 24 gymnasts.

In the 11-year age group Charisma gymnasts performed incredibly, dominating the top six. Isabelle Bird finished 6th and achieved a bronze medal for her floor performance. Emily Hime placed 5th and achieved Beam bronze for a superbly confident routine. Agnes Grassie was 4th and crowned Floor Champion; performing her choreography with great #Charisma! Finally, Esme Lane was 2nd after scoring an immense 45.400. She achieved Vault Bronze and was crowned Beam champion for the 11-year age group. The girls performed with no mistakes in a tough round of 23 gymnasts. All achieving execution awards.

Following the 11 years category the 12-13-year olds marched on with a look of determination. The girls also did fantastically. Neela Stone finished in 6th and Mette Harvey in 11th out of 33 gymnasts. Madeleine Attwell and Ella Barret also competed brilliantly with Madeline achieving a bronze medal for some impressive vaulting.

Congratulations to all our gymnasts, we now look forward to the Team Competition on June 2nd and an opportunity to watch some more very talented gymnasts compete again.
