We would like to welcome all our members and visitors to our website, we hope you enjoy looking through the pages.
Over 95% of our new members come by recommendation almost certainly due to our philosophy, that gymnasts should have fun and enjoy their gymnastics. Hence our gym motto ‘Fun & Happiness Breeds Success.’ Once they start at Charisma they stay.
If you have any questions regarding your child’s gymnastics please speak to Karen who will make arrangements for you to speak to the Senior Coach.

The First Club event this term is Onesie Day on Thursday the 10th November and Saturday 12th November. This is the day in which everybody comes to the gym in their onesie's and brings with them £2 to donate to an animal charity. This year Charisma has chosen Giraffe Conservation Fund. Many species of Giraffe are now endangered. Your money can help make a big difference in helping these beautiful animals to survive.
The next club event is Charisma's Roller Disco on Saturday 3rd December. Tickets will go on sale soon. Make sure to get your tickets asap as we have limited tickets and they will go fast. It was an amazing success last year, with everybody enjoying themselves!

On Saturday 14th May our very own Catherine Lyons, came to visit the gym club. All the girls were very excited to see her, and were inspired by her achievements. Catherine brought along her good friend Charlie Fellows who represented Great Britain at the World Championships a lovely surprise for us all!
Therefore, we were lucky enough to have two international gymnasts visit Charisma. The girls in their Team GB tracksuit inspired every single one of our gymnasts. Both of the girls are preparing for their final Olympic trial for Rio this summer and will hear shortly if they made the squad. We wish them both, every success and hope to see them competing this summer!
Thank you to every body that donated money in our annual Smarties fundraising event. We have managed to raise £1120.00!! All of this money will go towards us getting a sprung floor.
Our Smarties fundraiser winner was Maria Mosier, and as a result her reward is to have a floor routine made up for her by Catherine herself. To the right is a picture of Maria and Catherine.
Although our Smarties event is officially over, we welcome any more donations that will help us reach our target of £30,000! This is how much a sprung floor costs and we still have a long way to go before we reach our goal.
Charisma’s Catherine Lyons
Catherine Lyons has made it to the top! Ex-Charisma gymnast Catherine Lyons was crowned junior British champion in 2015 and previously was crowned junior European floor Champion in 2014.
She started at Charisma at the age of 5 and it was clear from the start that she was a hardworking and determined gymnast. Due to her hard work and dedication Catherine in just a few years at Charisma really began to excel at her gymnastics, winning various competitions and learning new skills rapidly.
Unfortunately, Catherine couldn’t stay at the club because in order for her to pursue her goal of being British champion and competing in the Olympics she needed to train at a purpose built gym club where she could train 30+ hours a week rather than just several hours a week at Charisma.
With the additional training hours Catherine went from strength to strength, never giving up and always working hard she achieved her dream of being British champion and is on the verge of fulfilling her dream of competing at the Olympics! She is currently trying out for the Rio Olympics in 2016 and we wish her the best of luck and hope to see her representing Great Britain in just a few months’ time!
We at Charisma are so proud of our Catherine! We wish her even more success in the future and hope to see her again soon back at the club.
